Doris might have wreaked havoc, blown over all the wheelie bins and knocked down a lot of garden fences, but it hasn’t stopped me planning for spring.
In just a few days it will be March, and as far as I’m concerned that officially means NOT WINTER. In March I will start wearing summer frocks with cardigans (and maybe a big coat as well, better safe than sorry.). Also I will turn the heating off and it won’t be coming back on again till October, apart from that one day in July when it will inevitably be freezing.
My spring frock wish list now includes what I have decided is a totally practical striped frock with flamingos on it. Because when you see a striped frock with flamingos on it the first thing that comes to mind is “practical”, obviously.
This dress is from Collectif and has an amazing bold print all around the hem featuring pink flamingos, over the top of a blue and white horizontal stripe. The skirt is box pleated and has a built in petticoat for fullness, and the neckline is a boat neck, boat neck is practical, right?
I can see this in spring with court shoes and a cardigan draped across my shoulders, but it will also be divine for a tropical summer look with peep toe wedges and a hair do full of flowers.
